It's a Half-Birthday ... Why Not Party??

So July came, and my friend Nicki was itching to host a get together.  What a better reason than her adorable daughter's half-birthday.  Of course, I volunteered to make some cupcakes.  She sent me a picture of some dog cupcakes.  Here are my interpretations:

Each of these took A LOT of time, and they look more like sheep and bears than dogs, but they tasted AMAZING.  I don't remember which was what flavor, but I know I made one Boston Cream Pie (yellow cake, pastry cream, and chocolate frosting) and the other s'mores (graham cracker cake, chocolate marshmallow filling and marshmallow frosting.)
